This event has something for everyone. Taking in the flat water
of the Barwon River, the tricky swell off Barwon Heads and some
downwind madness in between, this year's Battle of Barwon Heads
will challenge novices and pros alike, with options for paddlers of
all abilities. By popular demand, this year's event also welcomes
the inaugural Battle of Barwon Heads SUP race, comprising a 4km
circuit on the Barwon River.
Stick around after for celebrations at the famous Barwon
Hotel!

The Pro & Lite Courses:
Paddlers head north up the Barwon
River, under the iconic bridge, and turn clockwise at the SUP HQ
buoy. They then head south through the river mouth, passing the
Canoe Innovations buoy. From here, paddlers will head down towards
Ocean Grove (northeast), and turn clockwise around the Epic Kayaks
buoy. They will then head south, turning clockwise around the David
McDonald Builders buoy, and back through the river mouth, to the
start to complete a 7km circuit. Paddlers taking on the Pro Course
will repeat this lap one more time.
Please note that the direction of this circuit may be
reversed/altered to suit the wind direction on the day.
