Safety

All open ocean events are run under the direction of Toquay Rescue or Point Leo SLSC Rescue.

Torquay Rescue's main rescue craft are jet skis with rescue mats, but they have also used a 15ft ocean rescue boat and a seadoo.

Twenty-one people have passed the Australian test to become qualified jet ski rescuers, with six being from Torquay Rescue.

Before every event, Outlaw must provide Rescue with the event's local ambulance and police information, plus details of beach access points in case any problems arise.

Outlaw competitor safety
